  How can I release the domain I had? I want to use it on another provider and it keeps saying the domain is taken.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains go through a holding period of anything from a few days to a few months after cancellation before they are released again.

  In your case, as you cancelled a day after buying the domain it should be released by next week, but I cannot guarantee that. A safer option would be that I recover the domain for you. Then you can connect it to a different service, and transfer it away from us once you’ve owned it for 60 days.

  I want the domain transferred to another service, and I’ve tried but am not able to since I already cancelled it with wordpress. Can you help me with this?

  I can restore the domain, in which case you can connect it somewhere else for now and only transfer it after 60 days.

  Or you can wait another few days at which point it will hopefully be released, and then you can register it at another provider.

  I need your specific instruction to restore the domain before I can do that, so please confirm what you would like to do.
