  Hi there, I just bought the domain for jasondrummondupholstery.com but i was working on the site under https://verysocialwithviv.wordpress.com/
  can i transfer the content that i have worked on & publish it on the bought domain? I hope this makes sense. so basically i need to change it from verysocialwithviv to jasondrummondupholstery please.

  So to clarify, would you like to change your website’s URL (link) from https://verysocialwithviv.wordpress.com/ to your purchased jasondrummondupholstery.com?

  If so, you can change your site’s address without affecting the content with the instructions outlined here:

  To clarify, that link that @josegreyes94 shared is one that instructs you on how to change the “wordpress.com” address of your site.

  But instead, it sounds like you would prefer to use a custom address instead of your WordPress.com address, and that link will not help you in this case.

  Hi Vivienne,

  Do you mean jasondrummondupholstery.com?

  You bought that domain for your site, verysocialwithviv.wordpress.com, so you don’t need to transfer anything. It’s still exactly the same site.

  But to have jasondrummondupholstery.com appear in the browser address bar when people visit your site, you need to be on one of our paid plans. That’s a requirement for setting a custom domain as the primary address on your site.

  So go to Upgrades ->Plans and upgrade to a paid plan. Once you’ve done that, go to Upgrades ->Domains, and you’ll see an option to make jasondrummondupholstery.com the primary address on your site.
