    is there a way to get a domain from a wordpress blog that hasn’t been written in for almost 10 years?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    If a site has been deleted, the free address is automatically released after about two years unless there are other factors preventing it, like a match to an existing username.

    But if the site is currently registered there is no way for us to reassign it, no matter how long it has been inactive. If there is a contact form or comments box on that site you can try using that to reach out to the current owner to ask them to transfer it to you, but that’s the only way to get ownership of an existing address.
