  im not sure which plan to go with – i already have a web address which i have paid for . if i pay annually it says i get that for a year free – if i opt to pay montly – that bit is crossed out

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hello there,

  “A free domain for a year” is not applicable to the monthly plan.

  The fact that you already own a domain allows you to connect your existing domain with any paid WordPress.com plan.
