  i have a domain from blue host. i want to know if i map that domain on wordpress, will my readers get to my content by typing my already purchased domain? or do they have to go through wordpress first?

  Hi there,

  If you map your domain here, it will simply be applied to your existing WordPress.com site, like putting a new cover on a book. Visitors will still be able to find your site via the free WordPress.com address, but they can also type the custom domain directly and reach your site there.

  Regardless of which link they use to reach your site, visitors will only see your custom domain displayed in their browsers.
