  I’m trying to put my domain name for the site i’m creating on this account but you ask me for 100 dollars …. Is this normal ?

  Howdy yoginflow!

  This is correct. WordPress.com charges yearly rather than monthly. There’s no option for monthly. You can purchase a personal plan for $34.99/year of you just want the domain and exclude the Premium additions. Please let me know if you have anymore questions.
