  I had a domain through GoDaddy. I wanted my domain to be through WordPress. I deleted my domain from GoDaddy (I had not realized at the time that I could just transfer; GoDaddy did not have that information). I am currently waiting for it to be available again so that I can purchase it through WordPress. It said it could take up to 15 minutes. I have been siting and trying to purchasing every couple of minutes but I am slightly worried about what I read in your forum. Will it make itself available again for me to purchase through WordPress?

  As long as the domain isn’t purchased by someone else first, it will be released to the public and you will be able to purchase it again. How long this takes can vary so I’m not able to give you an exact timeframe I’m afraid. The best advice I can give is to keep checking to see if it has become available again.

  Just so you know, you can use a domain you already own (purchased through another registrar) by “mapping” your existing domain to your site:
