  Hi, I had a domain with you which I think I cancelled. What I meant to do was transfer it. It is at the moment unavailable. Domain is http://www.ricblake.com

  Hi There,
  The site that you have deleted, was it the ricblakecom.wordpress.com? Were you interested in mapping your domain to your WordPress site?
  I can tag staff for you and see if can assist. Deleting a site is often permanent and can be difficult to get back, so there are no guarantees.

  Hi,
  I’ve deleted the site as I know longer want it and cancelled the domain. I’m trying to register the domain somewhere else but it says it’s not available.

  HI there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, but after a short holding period goes through a redemption phase of about 40 days before they are released. And then only if the registrar does not sell them at private auction during the redemption phase.

  I’ve emailed our registrar to get your domain back. Hopefully it hasn’t entered redemption yet, but if they reply to say that it has, we’ll need to pay them an additional fee to get it back. I’ll let you know once they reply.

  When the domain is restored I’ll need to connect it to a WordPress.com site in your account so you can access its settings to transfer it. As you’ve deleted all sites in your account I’ll need you to create a new free site that we can use for this purpose. You can use this link to register a new free site:

  Hi again. Your domain has been restored, but you don’t have a site in your account to which I can attach it, so you won’t be able to transfer it. Please register a new site via the link I gave above, and then let me know so I can reconnect your domain.

  Thanks for the URL. Your domain is now connected to that site and you’ll be able to access it’s settings again from My Site ->Domains.

  To transfer it, click on the domain there, select the transfer to another registrar option, and then click the big blue button. That will send you the transfer code, disable privacy and unlock the domain so you will be able to transfer it. More details here:
