  I have a domain through Godaddy. I am trying to use this with my wordpress.com account. When I try to make the association through the wordpress.com account tool (choosing ‘I already have a domain’) I get a message that the domain already exists. Of course it does … I registered it. How do I link it to my wordpress.com account?

  You should be able to map your GoDaddy domain to your WordPress.com blog/site by upgrading to a Personal, Premium or Business plan. Checkout the Pricing.
