  Hi there, I’m creating a website for a client, this is his site. But I’m trying to transfer the domain name he already has over to this, it automatically selected one for me, which I want to change. Or do I need to de-activate this account and create a new one from the beginning, which would be fine.

  We are not exactly clear about your question, Do you mean you have an external domain and you want to map it to an existing website here ?
  Or you also mention Automatically selected one . What do you mean by this ?

  There are no domain purchases on the account you are logged in to. Which domain do you want to transfer? Do you want to transfer the domain from one WordPress.com account to another?

  Let me know and we’ll go from there.
