  I want to know how to transfer my domain FROM “Wix” TO “WordPress” so that wordpress is my registrar instead of wix… I don’t want to use the nameservers… I want to rid myself of wix completely and be a sole customer of wordpress! Why is this so hard! Lol!

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. We therefore recommend that if you’re not happy with Wix, you can transfer your domain to another registrar like GoDaddy or 1&1.

  This means that the only way you can use your domain at WordPress.com is to map the domain, as explained here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
