  I thought if I cancelled my domain name within 24 hours it would be available again through another host, does cancellation mean that the domain name is no longer available anywhere?

  Hello –

  Yes, the domain will become available again after a 5 day waiting period. I can see the domain was cancelled on November 1st. You should expect it to be available again for registration elsewhere around November 6th.

  The only way to ensure that someone else doesn’t register the domain first is for us to restore it to your account now. Then, you can edit the DNS records to point the domain to a different hosting provider.

  Let us know if you are going to wait out the 5 day window or if you’d like us to restore it now.
