  I just want to check before I pay for a site; if I have my own domain (charlesedwardjones.com) will I be able to link that or will it continue to show the .wordpress.com? Thanks!

  Yes, you will be able to link to charlesedwardjones.com.

  You will still have your free WordPress.com address (example.wordpress.com), but you can choose to set charlesedwardjones.com as the primary domain:

  The primary domain is the one visitors will see in the address bar.
