  I just purchased a domain from a different website, but I have to upgrade to a plan to transfer or redirect the domain to wordpress, can i get a refund to buy the domain through wordpress? I don’t want to pay for a plan, I just want a domain with a free plan.

  If you didn’t buy the domain here at WordPress.com then you need to reach out to wherever you did buy the domain if you want a refund.

  If you want a free plan here then don’t buy a domain. You can build a free site with a subdomain address ending in .wordpress.com.
