Riddle me this. I signed up for WordPress. Premium. Decided I hated it. Couldn’t transfer my domain name because it hadn’t been 60 days yet. Shut down my site and got my money back. When will my domain name be available to use elsewhere?

Cancelling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Thank you. I don’t foresee it being a domain someone else would use. So here’s hoping it’ll be released and I can reuse it

Hi there,
Cancelled domains can take anything from a few days to more than a year before it’s released again. In this case your domain should be released by next week, but if you still wanted to use it a better option would have been to point it to another hosting provider until it could be transferred.
We don’t have a way to manually release a cancelled domain on request.
