I cancelled my domain to go with a different one but fully regret this decision. Is there any way I can get it back. My account says this domain is ‘taken’ is it still under my name in some way? Can I get it back somehow?

Hi trurobuzz!
I’ve just tagged the staff to help you. After cancellation, there is no guarantee the domain will become available to register somewhere else, and you may not be able to get it back. However, the staff may be able to contact the domain registrar and attempt to retrieve it for you.

@trurobuzz – Just adding here that it also appears that the domain is in the redemption period. When that happens, our domain registrar imposes an additional US$80 fee for domain recovery on top of the domain renewal. Staff will need your agreement to pay that fee before they can begin the recovery process.

Hi @trurobuzz, the domain is in redemption right now: basically the registrar charges an extra fee ($80) at this point. If you’d like me to send an invoice for that plus the cost of renewal (which is coming up soon) let me know and I’ll do that.
Please bear in mind, too, that redeeming a domain can be a rather time-sensitive issue. Let me know what you want to do.
