Domain
-
Hello,
I previously had a wordpress account and decided to create a new one in which I purchased a plan and domain name. When I tried logging on this morning, my information was all gone and my old one appeared. Why did this happen and why did it replace my new account? Does that mean that the money I spent on my new account has gone to waste? Please contact me.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @vallejoa,
Will you please confirm that the email address here https://wordpress.com/me/account for the exact same username account that registered andreavallejocom.wordpress.com is correct?
Also, if the login information has been lost go to:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordIf you cannot locate the email verification check your email client spam filter, and if you use gmail or google apps please consult these guides:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/If you are not successful you can type modlook into the sidebar tags (on the right sidebar) on this thread for Staff help.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. If required use the account recovery form
https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-formAlso, any extra information would be great, like for example what was the site you created the new account for? Don’t post here e-mail adresses or any personal information.

That is my email address, but not my domain name. That is my old one which is why I am confused as to why that information is coming up. I did verify the account as well, which is another reason as to why i don’t understand where the information went.
Thanks!
Andrea Vallejo

Hello Vallejoa! It sounds like you might have multiple accounts/usernames on WordPress.com. Is it possible that you created this website under a different account from the one you are currently logged into? Do you have an alternate email address?
What is the complete url of the new website (with custom domain name)? That will be a good start to getting this figured out for you. I will add modlook the side bar here. If you post your domain name, a Happiness Engineer may be able to give you the username associated with it.

I noticed that @juliannekb has been also trying to help you in one of your other threads. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-2358?replies=9#post-2996828
I am adding that here so that the Happiness Engineers can see both for reference in case the suggestions offered do not help you.One last suggestion would be to double check that your new domain is set as the primary domain for your site. When you are logged into your account and click on My Sites, you can scroll to the bottom of your sidebar and click on the Domains link. You can then click on your new domain name and make it your primary address.
You can read about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain
Please let us know if these suggestions do not help with your issue and a staff member will be able to dig into it further.

Hi Andrea –
Good morning. The domain, sientelalluvia.com is not connected to this user account. You have another WordPress.com account that you’ll need to sign in to for accessing the requested site.
To help you identify the correct credentials I have sent a note to the email address on that account. Use that email address to sign in at WordPress.com and you’ll be all set.
-
-
Our security practices prevent us from giving away such information. The note is sent to the address listed on the account at wordpress.com/me/account/
-
I did not receive that email, does that mean I lost control over my domain name and my account?
-
-
-
You should be able to regain access to the account through the Account Recovery form if you paid for the domain registration you’ll have the necessary proof needed.
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery -
I received the email and submitted my information, typically how long does it take to receive an email back? I have not received anything thus far.
-
I have not been able to locate your account recovery submission. Could you submit it one more time?
The upgrade is owned by your, sientelalluvia, account. That’s the one we need to hear from you under.
-
Would it be possible to delete both of my accounts and completely start fresh? Including my domain and website? If I have to repurchase it and start all over, I will agree to that as long as I can still repurchase my name back. Thanks!

You will need access to the other account in order to delete it. That is not something we can do for you.
Once you delete an account that username is no longer available for use. You would need to pick a completely new username. I don’t think this is the best option. In order to transfer the ownership of the domain to a new account you’d have to be signed in to the owner’s account to initiate the process.
You will be able to regain access to this account with the transaction id. Here is how you look that up: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal-transaction-id/
Or, if you have your emailed receipt from us, there’s a receipt id in that email.
After you submit this Account Recovery form with the necessary details and proof of ownership we can give you access to that account again.

Everything got figured out and I could not thank you enough. Thank you for all your help, it was great!
Thank you lots.
