  My domain ‘addvalorem.org’ expired on 2 August 2017 and I received a payment in my bank account from GoDaddy. Could you explain this?

  Hi there,

  I am guessing you pointed your WordPress.com site (addvalorem.wordpress.com) to a GoDaddy domain (addvalorem.org). If this is so, then the issue is to be resolved by GoDaddy because your WordPress.com site is a free plan.

  My domain ‘addvalorem.org’ expired on 2 August 2017 and I received a payment in my bank account from GoDaddy.

  addvalorem.org was registered through WordPress.com but expired on 2016-08-02. As a result, the domain was released and we no longer control it. There are no recent payments to WordPress.com on your account:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  If your statement shows a payment to GoDaddy I’d recommend contacting them directly. They should be able to give you more information about the charge.
