Domain

Hi! I’m very confused… My blog domain has been active for a long time now and I was happily paying $24 a month for the privilege. Now my domain name has expired but it won’t let me reactivate it without paying for a plan? Is this how it’s done now, I can’t have my own domain without paying extra for a plan? Thank you!

  • Hi there,

I checked your account, and you have been paying C$24.00 annually for sixyeargapyear.com, but the domain expired due to an expired card on file at the time. You had a legacy domain subscription that allowed you to have a domain connected to your site without a plan. Since then, if you want your custom domain to be the primary domain for your site, you need a paid plan, and the legacy plan is lost whenever is allowed to expire.

However, you can purchase the Personal Plan for C$48.00 annually, which is a plan that you did have in the past. It will provide you with your custom domain, no ads, extra media storage space, and more.

I did your domain and see that it is currently registered elsewhere. Did you register the domain at a different host?
