  My free account has a domain name associated with it. Is there any way to change that domain to a new one and still keep the content of the blogs I have?

  To change your WordPress.com site address to another WordPress.com address (without losing your content, layout, and followers), please follow the guidelines from https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ page.

  If you want to remove WordPress.com part of your site address you need to upgrade to a paid plan and add a custom domain name from https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/ page.
