Hi, I registered yesterday for a personal plan. I registered a domain ruqyaplanner.com I then cancelled the plan as I realised I was on the wrong wordpress site. I needed wordpress.org. This morning I went to register with wordpress.org and tried to re register my domain on my hosting service but it won’t allow me as it says it is not available. I am guessing that it is because it’s registered still with wordpress.com.
How can I resolve this and get that domain back without upgrading with wordpress.com as I need wordpress.org.

Hi –
The domain should be released and cancelled, meaning you can register it as new 5 days from the registration date (july 28th).
If you need to use the domain right away, just write back and let me know. I’ll restore it to your account. Then you can edit the name servers to point the domain to your new site. Once the domain is 60 days old it can be transferred outright.

Can I get it,as I need it right now. Will this be just for the domain or do I still have to pay for the package? I only need the domain.
I have all ready set up with WordPress.org

To use that domain with another host, please follow the instructions here to point it to them:

Whether you use name servers or A records will depend on your new hosting provider.
Once you’ve owned the domain for 60 days you’ll be able to transfer the registration to the other provider as well if you prefer.
