  I just purchased a domain through a domain website. Do I have to transfer it to WordPress as I build my premium website?

  Hello there, if you already have a domain registered you may have the option to map the domain with your site on WordPress.com without transferring the domain to WordPress.com.

  However, in order to map your existing domain to your WordPress.com site, you need an upgraded paid WordPress.com plan.
