  I currently have a domain with GoDaddy and it says that you have a free credit for a domain when you upgrade your plan. I am looking to upgrade to the Premium plan. Do I still have to pay the annual fee or is it included?

  Hi,

  Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain, or either transfer or map one you already own. You still need to pay the annual fee for the plan – the domain credit won’t be extra – it’s included in the price.

  This means you can use your GoDaddy domain by mapping it to your WordPress site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  You also have the option of transferring your domain to WordPress to have everything in one place: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
