  Hi there, I’ve set up an account under the domain (email visible only to moderators and staff). The extra “com” at the end of my name I wish to get rid of but it won’t allow me to do so. How can I get the domain (email visible only to moderators and staff)? It’s saying the domain is already in use when it’s not. Once I can change this I’ll purchase the domain. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  The address, https://jacquelinemessih.wordpress.com/, already exists on WordPress.com, and belongs to someone else. The only way you’ll be able to use that address is if the current owner transfers it to you.

  It doesn’t matter whether the current owner is using the address or not – we do not reassign ownership of addresses that already belong to someone under any circumstances.
