  i am so confused. why do i need to wait 51 days for my domain name to transfer to wordpress?

  Hi there,

  It is only possible to transfer a domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60-day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. You can read more about it here:

  In the meantime, you can keep your domain with your current registrar and point it to your WordPress.com site by using the mapping feature:
