  Hello, I’m trying to aquire the domain: andrewkbrinded.com
  I know that the domain is available because I can purchase it through godaddy.com
  However, when I do the search in WordPress, WordPress seems to offer a lot of variations, but not the one I want.
  Other than buying the domain in godaddy.com and then transferring it to WordPress, is there an alternative?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If that domain is currently available then you can purchase it right here at WordPress.com but you do need to purchase an upgraded plan as well if you currently have a free plan.

  Understood, but do you know why the domain doesn’t show up as neither available or not available?

  If I click on “My Sites” and the green upgrade button below it then “Domains” “Add Domain” and type in your preferred domain then it is available for me to purchase so it should be for you too.
