  I want to transfer a domain to wordpress but that domain already has website content. Should I delete the content before the transfer? Thanks!

  Do you wish to transfer only domain or domain along with the website to WordPress.com?

  Hi there,

  If you transfer the domain to us, the site currently at the domain will go offline.

  If you want to keep that content, you first have to migrate the content to your WordPress.com site by exporting it from the current site and then importing it here.

  Once you’ve done that it will be safe to add the domain to the WordPress.com site. See the transferto link above for detailed instructions.
