  I have a redirect through GoDaddy. I need it to be in place while I’m building my new word press website, as I am taking class registrations through the site. How do I proceed when asked ‘transfer your domain,’ or ‘map your domain?’

  Hi there,

  Just skip it for now. We issue a free WordPress.com address for your site the moment you create it, and you can build your site at that free address until you’re ready to connect your custom domain.

  If you plan on installing plugins on our Business Plan you will need to have a custom domain connected for that, but we should be able to help you with a temporary domain, or we can help you create a subdomain on your existing domain for that purpose until you’re ready to switch the domain itself over to us.
