Domain

Hi @simmone1, sorry we didn’t see this question earlier. Do you still need help?
If you’re looking at buying a plan that allows domain mapping, the question to transfer or map is totally up to you.
Most of our domains cost about $18 per year. We add a credit for that in your first year of your plan. So if that savings is worth it to you, a transfer would work well. And, if you change your mind and cancel, while we would deduct that $18 from the refund if you transfer a domain here, the year we add to the name will go with you to your new host and/or registrar when you transfer.
The plans that come with a transfer credit also allow mapping for free, so you could also simply map the domain if that makes more sense with your circumstances. For example, if you’ve got a domain that’s already paid for for the next 10 years, you might simply keep it at its current registrar until then, or you might opt to transfer it later. Again, whatever works best for you.
