  I already have a Domain through GoDaddy, but I’m not sure what is best for me as far as transferring over or maintaining what I have,Could you please assist me.

  I guess it’s really up to you to decide if you want to keep the domain with your current provider or you want to use your domain with WordPress.com site. You can transfer the domain to WordPress.com and manage your site and domain at the same place!

  If you prefer to keep your domain registered with your current provider, you can use it with your WordPress.com site by domain mapping:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  You will also need to have WordPress.com plan to use your own domain name.
