  Purchase a domain name from Bluehost in Jan.
  Did not use the domain name.
  Now I want to transfer and/or active it on WordPress.
  Wordpress wants the domain name unlocked ?
  How do I unlock it since it was never used?
  I tried talking with Bluehost first – that did not work. Bottom line Bluehost said contact WordPress.

  By transferring a domain, your domain registration will be moved from your current domain provider to WordPress.com.

  I have a different Domain host, My Domain host gives me the option to lock or unlock the domain. What that does is allow you to change the “name/web servers address”. To use your domain with Wordress, you will have to change those addresses with the Domain host, in your case Bluehost.

  Your domain provider’s domain management interface should have an option for you to remove this lock.
