    Hi, I would like to shift my site to wordpress, but do not want to deactivate the current site from the current provider. How can I build my site before I transfer the domain?

    How can I build my site before I transfer the domain?

    On WordPress.com, you can start by adding content and choosing a theme for the site you have already created. The domain can be mapped or transferred here when you are ready to make the switch.

    Custom domains are a feature of paid plans. The domain credit can remain unused if you need to upgrade in order to access certain features like additional storage space but aren’t ready to add the domain just yet.
