  Hi,

  I have received two renewal notifications to the following email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff) for the domain writetravelin.com, which is my blog.
  The emails fell into my promotions inbox, reason for which I have never read them until I tried accessing my blog and fell onto a different page. I would like to renew my wordpress subscription and get my domain back. Could you please help me? Thank you very much.

  Hello there, unfortunately it does look like your domain writetravelin.com expired and was purchased by a 3rd party as it is now showing different content to what I see in the Internet Archive and as you mentioned. At some point it looks like you were using your domain on Squarespace.*

  I’ve also tagged this thread for Staff as they can see the history of what happened.

  My 2¢/Trying to purchase a domain back from a domain squatter is usually very costly, if at all possible. You might wish to consider starting over with a similar domain name using a different TLD instead.

  Good Morning –

  I am going to echo the advice that justjennifer suggested. It will be very expensive to recover a domain from a 3rd party which is the situation you’re in.

  What I would do is register a new domain and attach it to your free site. You haven’t lost any content at all, that’s all still safe on the free version of your site.

  The absolutely free option would be to just continue with that free site.
