    Hello there,

Yes, you can move your content to your own domain from secondhandstyleit.wordpress.com

A WordPress.org “account” may be better described as a self-hosted WordPress installation on your own domain.

You will need to register a domain (which you’ve already done) and then in most cases you will be able to use one of the services your web hosting provider has to install and activate a self-hosted WordPress installation. If you have started adding content to your WordPress.com site you will be able to export and then import it into your self-hosted site.

It would have been easier to register your domain here at WordPress.com as one is included free for the first year with an upgraded plan. Your other option to moving away from here is that you could map your domain to your WordPress.com site by purchasing a Personal plan or higher.

    https://wordpress.com/pricing/
So .org as explained by @austinsangs or .com. The choice is yours.

  • @humdrummumblog also, you can use your custom domain here with your WordPress.com site. A domain is just an address, it does not contain your site. Mapping a domain is free with any of our plans:

To clear up any further confusion about WordPress.com and WordPress.org – they are two different entities.

We, WordPress.com are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites. WordPress.org is a stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.

You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this support page:

    I hope that helps :)
