  I am at the very beginning of building my 1st website. I currently have another website and don’t want to transfer the domain until my new site is built. How do I get started without using the domain?

  Hi, no problem. You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  Then just skip the domain option by choosing a free domain until you’re ready. You can map or transfer the name later.
