Add topic to favorites
I already have a domain currently hosted by Godaddy. I want to create a new website using WordPress. When I try to map my domain, I am being taken to a page to choose a plan that includes hosting. Can I create a free website in WordPress? if so, how?

You can have a free site using the free WordPress.com domain. If you’d like to use a custom domain, you will need to upgrade to one of our paid plans. You can read more about our plans here:

Hello,

Thanks for your response. I am currently recreating the site and using a standard template called AVENUE. Can you please show where I can add categories and Sub-categories.

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
