  All sites need a domain, but we offer a free WordPress.com “subdomain” to all sites hosted at WordPress.com. This will look something like “yourawesomesite.wordpress.com”.

  If you start a Free plan site, you can totally use one of the free WordPress.com subdomain URLs to continue moving forward with your site creation.
