  I’ve recently purchased a domain from Hover, but not done anything with this other than purchasing the name. How do I go about arranging a £7 bundle from WordPress and getting my domain linked with it?

  Hi,

  Have you already purchased a domain name with another provider, such as GoDaddy or 1&1? If you prefer to keep your domain registered with your current provider, you can use it with your WordPress.com site by domain mapping.

  I hope u can help me, as things have become somewhat complicated. I’ve purchased the following domain name from Hover:
  psychological-wellness.co.uk

  I’ve paid 4 the £7 bundle from WordPress. I’ve pasted below an email that I received after this purchase that I don’t understand.

  Howdy!

  We noticed that you’re mapping the psychological-wellness.co.uk domain to your site, psychologicalwellness481680292.wordpress.com.

  What’s this about psychologicalwellness4816…?

  If I’ve mistakenly started another WordPress account I’d appreciate this being closed. All I want is help setting up my account.

  Hi there,

  Every site hosted on WordPress.com comes with a free blog address. psychologicalwellness481680292.wordpress.com is the free WordPress.com address that is associated with your site. However, now that you have psychological-wellness.co.uk, no one will see that .wordpress.com address in their address bar. If you ever decide you no longer want psychological-wellness.co.uk as a domain, the site address will default to psychologicalwellness481680292.wordpress.com.
