  i already have a domain but how to connect the domain from my site

  Hello!

  You connect a domain from another registrar to a WordPress.com site with domain mapping:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Domain mapping is available with all the WordPress.com paid plans, but not with the Free plan.

  You can also map the domain on a free plan, however, you would not be able to set it as your primary address.

  Thank you for your clarification.

  Choosing domain mapping for one of my test sites on the Free plan, it appears this would work. (I did complete a purchase to find out what actually happens.)

  Does that mean this documentation needs to be revised?
