  I bought a domain but then I found out that there’s a cheaper way of getting it by getting a WordPress subscription so I immediately refunded it.

  Now if I look for it via wordpress it says that domain is already linked to some wordpress website and if I try open the website it says ‘this domain is parked’. I am pretty sure no one has bought this domain during the last hour. So can it be just some delay..?

  It sounds like maybe there was a delay with it saying that the domain name was available. If you haven’t already, please contact direct WordPress support (go to the bottom right of your WordPress and you will find a little blue question mark. Click that and press live chat; if you have a premium plan; if you don’t chat is limited currently and you can send an email while waiting to hear back. Hope this helped!

  Hi folks, if you cancelled the domain it’d go on hold for at least 5 days before it’s released.

  
  @killedshinigami if you will go ahead and purchase the plan of your choice without adding a paid domain, then update us here, we can add the domain to the account.
