  Hello!
  So I own darbysummerville.com.
  I really do not understand how I ended up with a free version of wordpress and working out of it but I now need to connect the two domains I have together. How do I go about this?

  I’m not sure I’m understanding correctly what you’re trying to achieve. Do you want to use the domain darbysummerville.com with your site darbysummerville.wordpress.com? If so, you will need one of our paid plans:

  https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/

  Once you have purchased one, you will be able to use your custom domain as your primary address for your WordPress.com site.

  You can either map it – your domain will stay with the current registrar and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related.

  Or you can transfer the domain to WordPress.com and we’ll be your new registrar. This way you’ll manage everything from one place and you’ll be able to reach support with any domain related-issues :)
