  Hi all i had a question about getting a domain. I just completed my site and am ready to publish it. However when i went to select a domain the site informed me I had to select a payment plan. This is confusing because I was under the impression that I could create a site on wordpress for free. Is there a way to get a free domain without a payment plan (maybe a .wordpress.com domain?). Thanks

  To get a free domain go here. The free option will give you a .wordpress.com site.

  As you are trying to launch an existing site and not make a new one, click into the space when you launch asking for a new domain. Clear this out completely and opt to continue with the address you have. Skip adding a payment plan, and you can launch for free with the previously selected .wordpress.com address!
