  I have bought my domain through godaddy.com it also added the free wordpress usage. I logged into wordpress but my domain is not appearing and when I try to add it it either bills me for wordpress or it tries to make me chain all domain to wordpress.

  Hi,

  to use a domain with wordpress.com you need to map it
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  to do this an upgraded WordPress.com (such as a Personal, Premium or Business plan, etc.) is needed.
