  How long will it take for my domain to delete?

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as when you cancel a domain, you give up ownership of it, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  In this case your domain will only become available for registration again once it completes the redemption process, which will take around 30 days, possibly a bit longer.

  You cancelled the domain outside of the refund period, so you have not been refunded for it. If you still want to use this domain, we can still restore it to your account.

  If you want to use it somewhere else, we can then help you point it to the hosting provider where you want to use it, and once you’ve owned it for at least 60 days you’ll be able to transfer it away from us completely.
