  I purchased a domain from wordpress but I could not use it with a hosting site, so I cancelled it. But, when I was trying to get that domain back, it says mapped to wordpress. My hosting site has also that installed domain which I could not remove. How is that so? Do I have to delete my account on WordPress?

  Hi there,

  I can confirm you have cancelled your WordPress.com Personal Plan and custom domain, which resulted in a full refund here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

  Please note that because this is a new domain, it will be returned to sale (to the public) again but there is a 5 day delay from the time you cancel the domain until it is available to purchase again.

  I see you cancelled less than 24 hrs ago, so if you wait 5 days from now, you should be able to purchase iwant2teach.school again from any company that sells domains to the public.

  If you need the domain back sooner than that, please let us know and I can invoice you for the registration costs and restore the domain to your account on this end.

  If you want to get the domain sooner than five days. I can send you a payment request and then I’ll restore the domain. However, you won’t be able to transfer the domain elsewhere for 60 days. You’ll only be able to point it to another host.

  If you plan on using the domain elsewhere, then it’s best to wait for five days and register it again through the provider of your choice.
