Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the domain that has expired please?
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for that — not sure why your replies were getting caught in a filter.
Unfortunately this domain expired a while ago and is in redemption now. I’ve made a payment request and sent it your way. If you’d still like the domain, could you please pay that ASAP so we can reach out to the registrar?
Once it’s redeemed I’d recommend a few steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again:
1) Ensure the email related to the domain is up to date, and that you’re checking it around the time the domain is due to expire (November)
2) Either add auto renew details, or transfer the domain to another provider if you prefer, and keep it renewed there.
Hoping this helps!

Correct – since it expired more than a mont ago, you’ll need to get it out of redemption and renewed. But then you’ll be able to transfer it.
Remember the redemption process takes about a business day after you make the payment, so you’ll want to get that taken care of ASAP, and once the domain is in your possession again you can move it to the new provider, or do whatever makes the most sense for your situation.

can you tell me when the domain goes back to the open market
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 90 days. You can learn more about expired domains here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/
This domain is currently in the Redemption period: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period
this support page is absolutely shocking takes far too long for answers

I can’t speak for g-Suite, but the site will be restored.
how long will it take to restore the domain
Typically one to two business days (so not including the weekend.)
You’ll want to take care of it as soon as possible.

I noticed the invoice is still unpaid. Please take care of that as soon as possible. Here’s the full expiration process if you decide not to pay:

If your domain is in redemption it means you let it expire and consequently no longer own it so can’t transfer it unless you pay to have it recovered to your account here.
Your other option is to gamble that when the redemption period expires (whenever that might be) the domain becomes available for you to buy again at some other host. But note there are domain squatters out there who snap up stray domains in the hope of selling them back to people who let them expire. One of the support docs you were provided here says:If a domain is not redeemed by the original registrant, the domain is usually then returned to the pool of available domain names and can be registered again on a first-come, first served basis. However, it is common for back-order companies to wait for domains to be released and purchase them the moment they become available. There may also be another individual who likes the domain waiting to buy it.

Exactly — I meant to say that here.
since it expired more than a mont ago, you’ll need to get it out of redemption and renewed. But then you’ll be able to transfer it.
At this point your options are to pay the redemption fee or allow it to go through the process, which takes a while and may result in your domain being lost. It’s up to you, but because the registrar owns the domain at this point (albeit with your redemption ownership, for now) that’s all we’ve got.
Let us know if you’d like us to delete the invoice, or if you pay it, you’ll want to hustle. Please do read the document we’ve linked here as it explains the whole process.
