Hi. I bought a domain that I wanted on Godaddy. Then I realized I was better off being with WordPress. When I considered the option of transferring, I felt the best option was to simply cancel and get reimbursed with Godaddy and then start over with WordPress. But now the domain I want is gone. Is there a period it remains frozen for?

Hi mabus1maria, it depends on how long you had the domain registered with them and what their policy is for releasing domains.
On our end, typically if you cancel within 5 days of purchase, we release within 5 days of cancellation. But older domains that have been registered for a while go through a redemption process.
Can you check in with GoDaddy to see if your domain will be released soon, and if not, whether you can get it back?
