  Last year I purchased an own domain Dutchbaseballhangout.blog. But whatever I try, the name isn’t visible in the URL, which keeps showing dutchbaseballhangout.wordpress.com.

  How can I change that URL to my own domain? Now it is like I have paid money for nothing.

  You can change the primary address of your site here: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/dutchbaseballhangout.wordpress.com

  Please note that to set your custom domain as the primary site address, you will need to upgrade to one of our plans listed here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Sites without a plan cannot set a custom address so upgrading to a plan is necessary, but our plans also include a free domain for the first year. With this in mind I have added €22.00 in credit to your account. When you are ready, you will see the credits in your cart at checkout (they never expire) and can apply them to your purchase so you do not have to pay full price for the plan.

  Thank you for reaching out. I really appreciate the 22 Dollar discount.

  I don’t understand why WordPress is selling the option for an own URL when you cannot use it unless you upgrade your account.
