  Yes, you can transfer your domain name whenever you’re ready.

  @suziktodd85 I thought I’d add too: transferring the domain won’t automatically make your domain point to the new site. That’s a separate setting. So if you want to start the transfer while you’re getting things ready, then point the domain to the new site later on, that’s totally okay too. Just let us know if you need help.
