  Hi. I have a domain already registered with godaddy but want to build pages using WordPress. However I do not want either go daddy or WordPress in the url. How can I do that

  You can just transfer your domain over to WordPress.com, more on that on the link below:
  https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Generally speaking, you can definitely build a WordPress site on that domain you purchased through GoDaddy. It’s a matter of connecting the two items when the time is right.
